In Kharak Punia, Haryana, Rakesh Tikait said, “The government should not let the farmers come back to harvest their crops.” If this is insisted upon, they will burn their crops. “They don’t have to understand (the government’s intention) that the protest will end in two months,” said Tikait, a peasant leader.
