Abohar/Sriganganagar, Mar 8
Samyukt Kisan Morcha senior leader Balbir Singh Rajewal today said no political party would be allowed to cash in on the farmers’ movement. While political parties were trying to take advantage of the movement, they all wanted the stir to fail, he said.
Speaking to mediapersons at a function at Sriganganagar, Rajewal said after several rounds of talks with the Centre, it was almost clear the draft of the three farm laws was made by the chief executive officer of a private corporate house and vetted by a government bureaucrat.
Meanwhile, the Jai Kisan Andolan, Kisan Army and Kisan Sangharsh Samiti organised a tractor rally to mark the International Women’s Day at Sriganganagar today. — OC
